The exhibit will consist of the FIRST 65 ENTRIES.

 


The Monotype Guild of New England
invites members in good standing
to submit two monotypes or monoprints
for an exhibition at the Silver Center.
This exhibit is NOT JURIED.
Every entering member artist will
have at least one print hung, depending on the final numbers.

There will be a total of 65 prints in the show.


 

About the Silver Center: since it opened its doors in 1992, their mission has been to engage, educate, serve and support the students of Plymouth State University in the study, performance and appreciation of the performing arts. As the major cultural arts center in central New Hampshire, the Silver Center also serves as an arts presenter that provides a rich, rewarding cultural experience for students, faculty, staff and the public at large. The Silver Center presents guest artists whose work reflects the best in American and world cultures.

 


ELIGIBILITY:
Your Monotype Guild membership must be up-to-date to participate. All prints must be either monotypes or monoprints. For detailed descriptions of those terms, please follow this link to our website: http://mgne.org/monotypedefined/  
Submitted work cannot have been shown at an earlier MGNE exhibit. There will be a $22 fee to participate. MGNE is open to artists working in the medium of one-of-a-kind prints. To join MGNE, follow this link: https://mgne.org/membership/
 
REQUIREMENTS:  
Work should be framed and ready to hang with a wire. Clip-on frames, saw-tooth and keyhole hangers will NOT be accepted. There is a size limit of 36" x 36" framed.  The gallery can accommodate several three-dimensional pieces in a locked cases of museum quality.  The dimensions are not limited by length but should only be about 24 inches tall.  Handmade books and small sculptures would be appropriate.  Please contact exhibitions@mgne.org for more information.  The gallery director reserves the right to refuse installation of any work that is not appropriate for a professional exhibition at the Silver Center Gallery or does not meet the stated guidelines.
 
ENTRY PROCESS:
Easy on-line registration is through ArtCall at this address: https://mgnesilvercenter.artcall.org/
We will begin accepting entries on September 7, 2022, and will close submissions upon receiving 65 entries or October 1, 2022, whichever comes first.  Your email from ArtCall that your submission has gone through is an indication that your work is in the show and is expected at drop-off. ArtCall enables changes to your submissions until we close. Only JPEG files will be accepted. JPEGs should be sized between a minimum of 960 to a maximum of 1920 pixels on the longest side.
 
INSURANCE:            
MGNE volunteers and Silver Center Gallery staff will handle your work with the care and respect that they accord their own work. The Silver Center does carry insurance through the University system for the period of time your work is at the center. 
 
SALES:   
The Silver Center does not expedite sales of your work. A gallery sheet will be available at the show and if an interested party inquires, they will contact the artist directly.
 
DELIVERY:  
Drop-off dates are: Monday October 24, 10am – 4pm and Tuesday October 25, 10am – 4pm
Pick-up dates are: Monday February 20, 10am – 4pm and Tuesday February 21, 10am – 4pm

In this exhibition, the gallery will accept shipped work.  Upon acceptance of your entry, instructions will be sent via email. Work must be shipped and received by October 21, 2022

Please label all artwork with your name and title of the piece. You must attach the check-in label that you will print during the ArtCall submission.
